Following our recent CCC/AED training, the CERT Team thought it might be helpful to identify where AED Machines are located in our Deer Creek Community. Following are the locations:
- Main Admin Building – inside building in main corridor
- Pro Shop – outside in tunnel across from restrooms
- Eagles View Clubhouse – outside by air conditioning unit
- Fawn Ridge Clubhouse – outside between restrooms & inside near kitchen area on back wall
- Mockingbird Ridge Clubhouse – inside door near pool across from counter near restrooms
- Osprey Point Clubhouse – outside on left side of building near the front corner
- Partridge Pines Clubhouse – outside on left side of building
- Regal Point Clubhouse – inside to the right of the front door
- Regal Ridge Bath House – to be installed shortly
There is also an app that can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store to your phone called Pulse Point AED (picture below). This app will show you where the nearest AED machine is located. It should also show a photo of the specific location to assist in finding the AED as quickly as possible in the event of a sudden cardiac event.
The HOA Manager, Secretary or Office Manager of each community is responsible for maintaining the AED and supplies. Please be sure to include the following items inside the AED Cabinet:
- First responder kit which should include scissors, razor, gloves, cleansing wipes, gauze bandages – here’s a link to order a kit on Amazon for about $20 which contains everything you need à First Responder AED Kit.
- An envelope containing instructions/website for reordering the pads and batteries – they do expire and need to be checked yearly. Please include the expiration date on a piece of paper in the envelope for ease of reordering supplies prior to their expiration.
- On the front of envelope, include address of the location of AED machine to give 911 when they are called.
Please share this information with your respective community residents—especially about the locations of the AED machines and Pulse Point AED app.
NOTE: If any AED machines are added in your community, kindly report the location to me so I can update our information and add it to the Pulse Point app.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
