(Service to the Four core-Osprey Point, Eagles View, Partridge Pines and Regal Pointe)
Dear Neighbors,
Please take a moment to read this important reminder about trash pickup. Our trash is collected by hand each morning by one of our own residents. When bags are not tied securely they often split open during collection, spilling trash across yards and streets and creating extra work and safety hazards for employee and others.
Please help by following these simple steps:
• Double tie your bags. A second knot makes a big difference and prevents spills. We are requesting everyone to please do!!
• Place bags level with the street. Put them at street/lot line so they can be picked up easily.
• Do not place bags on private property. Leave them at the end of lot to avoid any trespassing.
• Check the weight. If a bag is very heavy (near shoulder height when you lift it), please split the contents into two bags.
• Do not spread multiple bags across your lot. The collector is not required to make several stops at one address. Please consolidate your bags in one spot.
• Be considerate in cold or bad weather. Wet, frozen, or overfilled bags are more likely to burst; extra care helps everyone.
This is a service many communities do not have, and our employee works hard to keep our neighborhood clean. Today’s pickup was especially difficult: more than ten bags opened and spilled, requiring cleanup of the cart and clothing. It’s a dirty, physical job, and small actions on our part—double tying, consolidating, and checking weight—go a long way toward making the rounds safer and more efficient.
Thank you for your cooperation and kindness. If you have questions or need suggestions for handling heavy or bulky items, please reply to this email and we will help where we can.
