Dear Residents,
The Board would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of several important safety and courtesy practices that help keep Deer Creek a safe and enjoyable community for all residents and guests.
Pet Safety & Responsibility
- Pets must be kept on a leash when outside and under the control of their owner at all times. Pets may not be left unattended.
- Residents are reminded that allowing pets to roam off leash in any area of the community is not authorized.
- If using a retractable leash, please exercise extra caution. Drivers of golf carts and vehicles may not always be able to see or anticipate the distance a pet may travel from its owner. Please be mindful of surroundings and maintain control of your pet at all times.
- Pet owners must promptly clean up after their pets and properly dispose of waste.
- Pets are not permitted in pool areas, clubhouses, the Administration Office, or on the golf course.
Walking & Golf Cart Safety
- The posted speed limit throughout Deer Creek is 10 MPH. Please drive cautiously and watch for pedestrians, cyclists, pets, and golf carts.
- Pedestrians should walk facing oncoming traffic whenever possible and remain alert to surrounding vehicles.
- Golf cart operators and vehicle drivers are encouraged to slow down in residential areas and near pedestrians and pets. Courtesy and attentiveness help prevent accidents.
Golf Course Reminder
- The golf course is reserved for registered golfers and golf-related activities only.
- Walking, jogging, biking, and pet activity on the golf course are prohibited for safety reasons and to protect course conditions
Being Good Neighbors
The vast majority of residents are considerate and responsible. These reminders are simply intended to promote awareness and encourage everyone to remain mindful of community rules, safety, and courtesy toward neighbors. A little extra attention helps keep Deer Creek the friendly and welcoming community we all enjoy.
