With the colder temperatures we are experiencing, we want to remind everyone to take precautions to help prevent frozen water lines and potential leaks.
Please drip your faucets this evening to help keep water moving through the lines. This simple step can greatly reduce the risk of pipes freezing overnight.
If you experience a water leak at or on your lot, please remember that you will need to contact a licensed plumber. The Utilities Department is responsible only up to the meter; any issues beyond that point fall under homeowner responsibility.
If you turn off all the water inside your home and the silver dial on your water meter is still turning, this indicates that you have an active leak somewhere on your side of the system. In that situation, please contact a plumber as soon as possible.
If you need assistance turning your water off, Maintenance is available to help.(863-289-4379) Please be patient — they have been receiving a high volume of calls due to the weather and are responding as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to protect our community’s infrastructure during this cold weather.
Stay warm and stay safe.
