Good morning, Deer Creek,
As most of you know, we have a formal ceremony on Veterans Day/Remembrance Day 11/11 at which we honor all who served.
If you are a veteran who is new to the community and wish to be included in the program, please send your name and branch of service to me at kking@artemislifestyles.com as soon as possible.
Also, I’m looking for two Canadian Veterans and one U.S. Veteran to participate in the ceremony. Contact me asap for details of what that entails.
Lastly, if you personally know of any resident Veteran who has moved out of Deer Creek, or is deceased, it would be most helpful if you could make me aware.
Meanwhile, so you are “in the know”, the following is the order of events for the day:
9:45a Line up for parade with your patriotically decorated golf cart.
10:00a Parade kickoff (travels through all communities)
11:00a (sharp) Ceremony at the flagpoles in front of the Main Clubhouse
12:00p (or immediately following the ceremony) Luncheon – See Kerry King in the Admin office for tickets
1:00p Veterans Day golf tournament (sign up ahead of time at the pro shop).
