We are writing in response to recent reports regarding instances of residents trespassing on areas within our community and allowing pets to relieve themselves and roam off-leash in non-designated areas. (In our own community as well as another community-see below)
As members of Deer Creek, we share a commitment to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone. Part of that commitment involves being responsible pet owners and ensuring we take care of our surroundings. By promptly disposing of pet waste, we can:
- Prevent unpleasant odors and maintain beauty of shared spaces.
- Reduce health risks associated with pet waste, such as bacteria and parasites.
- Show consideration for neighbors who use sidewalk and course.
These actions are a violation of our community rules and have raised concerns about safety, cleanliness, and the overall well-being of our shared spaces.
We had a complaint in a recent tournament that someone stepped on poo on the course. Please understand that you are NOT to be walking pets on/near course.
We received an email from management of our neighbors at Royal Palms at Citrus Ridge:
Many of the homeowners in Royal Palms on Citrus Ridge Drive are having issues with your residents coming over through the broken fence that separated our communities by the large power poles. This has been going on for the last couple of years and this year has gotten worse. We continually have asked these people not to come over here but then they become nasty. Videoing me on my own property after making vulgar comments. This is all private property, and they bring their dogs over here to use the bathroom and don't pick it up and let them run off leash. We have pictures and videos especially if the one man with his 2 dogs that come over here all the time and then they tell their friends to come too. This is becoming ridiculous; I have called animal control, and they have informed us to document all of this. We are tired of dealing with these people in our own property. We do not come over to let our dogs run loose and go to the bathroom all over on your private property and I would expect the same from the residents of Deer Creek. I would really prefer not to go down that road with police and animal control.
To ensure the continued enjoyment and harmony of our community, we would like to reiterate the following policies:
1. **Respect for Property Boundaries:** Residents must refrain from entering restricted or private property within the community. Trespassing is not only a violation of our regulations but can also lead to unnecessary disputes and discomfort.
2. **Pet Management Guidelines:**
– All pets must remain leashed at all times while in public spaces.
– Pets are only permitted to relieve themselves in designated areas, and owners are required to clean up after their pets immediately.
– Off-leash activity is strictly prohibited.
We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to these rules to maintain the quality and reputation of our community. Failure to comply may result in further action, including warnings, fines, or other measures as outlined in our community policies. You may also have animal control and/or the police involved.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping to ensure that our community remains a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
